Mike Capsambelis from Awesome Pittsburgh
ABOUT MIKE
Mike co-founded Awesome Pittsburgh in 2011 to get money into the hands of brilliant, passionate people with ideas that just needed a little push. Awesome Pittsburgh gives $1000 each month to people with creative proposals for connecting our communities, surprising us with art or technology, or otherwise making the city a better place to live, work and play. Awesome Pittsburgh has funded projects ranging from a floating art venue and a puppet photo booth to an outdoor elementary school classroom and fluoride treatments for kids without access to dental care.
Outside of Awesome Pittsburgh, Mike is a product manager with Google Pittsburgh and collaborates with the company's Entrepreneurial Outreach team to find ways to support the local startup and small business communities. He also serves on the board of Uptown Partners, trying to bring even more awesomeness to one of the city's hidden neighborhood gems.

PARKING
Parking is free in the Bakery Square parking garage (please do not use the lot near shops). The door to the main building in Bakery Square is directly opposite the exit door from the garage. Head on into the Lobby and take the elevator to the 5th floor- that's where you'll see some fabulous folks at the registration table!
FEBRUARY = MONEY
CreativeMornings will be hosting unified themes across all 40+ chapters starting in 2013.
This month, over 5,000 attendees will meet up at CreativeMornings events on six continents for speakers that relate to our February theme, “Money”, brought to you by Squarespace.
Through these themes, CreativeMornings hopes to stir up a global conversation among our fantastic, local creative communities. Themes for future months will be announced later on in the new year.
ABOUT CREATIVEMORNINGS
CreativeMornings is a monthly morning gathering for creative types.There are chapters around the world, including Los Angeles, New York, Auckland, Zurich, Chicago, and London.
Each event includes a 20 minute lecture, followed by a 20 minute group discussion. The gathering begins at 8:30am with the topic presentation starting at 9:00am and everyone taking off for work at 10am. CreativeMornings are free of charge!
The Pittsburgh Chapter is organized by Kate Stoltzfus and her dedicated team of volunteers.
